Role Summary & Key Objectives

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (Pre-Sales) with 5–9 years of expertise in web and mobile application solutions. The role involves bridging client requirements with solution design, preparing proposals, and collaborating with sales, technical, and delivery teams to secure new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical and functional solutions that drive deal closures and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support
Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and opportunities.
Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and cost/effort estimations.
Prepare impactful client presentations, solution decks, and demos.

Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and client interviews to gather requirements.
Translate business requirements into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and workflows.
Develop wireframes, mockups, and functional specifications for proposed solutions.

Solution Design & Documentation
Collaborate with architects, UI/UX teams, and delivery managers to design feasible solutions.
Define high-level scope, project plans, and success metrics for proposals.
Ensure clarity, consistency, and quality in all pre-sales documentation.

Client Engagement
Act as the primary functional consultant during pre-sales interactions.
Conduct product walkthroughs, proof-of-concept demos, and solution presentations.
Address client queries and manage stakeholder expectations.

Handover to Delivery Teams
Ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to project execution teams.
Provide functional clarity and background context to delivery managers and developers.

Process & Continuous Improvement
Maintain a knowledge base of proposals, templates, and reusable content.
Identify gaps in offerings and recommend enhancements to solutions and processes.

Must-Have Skills

Technical / Domain Skills

Strong understanding of web and mobile application development lifecycle.
Expertise in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, wireframes, and workflows.
Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Balsamiq, Figma, MS Visio.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC concepts.
Experience in RFP/RFI management, cost estimation, and proposal creation.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to translate business language into technical terms and vice versa.
Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience in preparing go-to-market collateral, case studies, and pitch decks.
Prior experience in consulting or IT services pre-sales roles.

Experience Requirements

5 to 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Pre-Sales Consultant in IT services or product companies.
Proven experience in client-facing roles and managing pre-sales cycles for web/mobile projects.
Track record of supporting large/complex proposal submissions.

Proposal Win Rate: % of RFPs/proposals converted into projects.
Requirement Accuracy: % of requirements that are clear, signed off, and delivered without major rework.
Client Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Feedback during pre-sales phase.
