Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Laravel Full-Stack Developer who can independently design, develop, maintain, and enhance web applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Laravel, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and API development, and can work across both the backend and frontend layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel.
  • Build clean, secure, and reusable backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Design and integrate MySQL databases, including schema design, queries, indexing, optimization, and migrations.
  • Work on frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, or similar technologies.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, shipping services, authentication systems, and other external services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, bugs, performance problems, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and secure coding practices.
  • Develop new features based on business and functional requirements.
  • Optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests where applicable.
  • Work with Git and follow proper branching and code-review practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
  • Handle deployment, configuration, and basic server-side troubleshooting where required.
  • Collaborate with project managers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and other developers.

Required Technical Skills

Backend

  • Strong PHP 8+ experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Laravel experience.
  • Strong understanding of Laravel MVC architecture.
  • Proficiency with Eloquent ORM, migrations, queues, jobs, events, middleware, authentication, and authorization.
  • REST API development and third-party API integrations.
  • Experience with Laravel security best practices.

Database

  • Strong MySQL experience.
  • Complex SQL queries, joins, indexing, transactions, and stored procedures where required.
  • Database optimization and troubleshooting.

Frontend

  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
  • HTML5 and CSS3.
  • jQuery.
  • Bootstrap or another responsive UI framework.
  • AJAX and API-based frontend integration.
  • Responsive web development.

Tools & Other Skills

  • Git / GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket.
  • Composer and npm.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Basic understanding of Apache / Nginx.
  • Debugging and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of OWASP and security practices.

Good to Have

  • Vue.js or React.js experience.
  • Redis and caching.
  • Docker.
  • AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Payment gateway integrations.
  • E-commerce application experience.
  • Elasticsearch / Meilisearch.
  • Experience working with legacy PHP applications and modernizing them.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is independent and hands-on, able to take a requirement from understanding to technical implementation, development, testing, and deployment/support without needing continuous supervision.
