Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning & Design:
• Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders to understand requirements and design test strategies.
2. Manual & Automated Testing:
• Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Implement and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JMeter, or similar.
3. Defect Management:
• Identify, log, and track defects in bug-tracking tools, ensuring resolution and retesting.
• Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
4. Quality Assurance Processes:
• Participate in process improvement discussions to enhance software quality standards.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the QA framework and methodology
5. Documentation:
• Prepare detailed documentation on test cases, defect reports, and testing outcomes.
• Ensure all test documentation is kept up-to-date in line with project changes.
6. Continuous Improvement & Learning:
• Stay updated with the latest QA tools, trends, and best practices.
• Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
• 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in tech product or services companies.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies
• Proven experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, etc.).
• Hans on experience in Confluence/ JIRA for creating documentation and workflow of the projects.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language: Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
• Proven experience writing test cases and executing them across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and experience using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Experience in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and basic SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, etc.
• Ability to lead QA processes independently and coach junior testers.
• Strong communication, requirement understanding, and stakeholder handling
• Capability to lead QA planning, strategy, and execution independently
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology.
