QA Executive

Roles & Responsibilities

  • You will be working on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications across multiple browsers, platforms, devices, and screen sizes.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases covering functional, regression, performance, stress, and compatibility testing.
  • Perform cross browser and cross platform testing to ensure consistent application behavior across environments.
  • Conduct multi-device and multi-screen testing to validate responsiveness and usability across form factors.
  • Identify, log, track, and verify defects, including broken links, UI inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks, through to resolution.
  • Perform stress and performance testing to evaluate application behavior under load and identify potential breaking points.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans and test cases.
  • You are a detail-oriented and quality-driven professional who takes ownership of the testing process and continuously looks to improve it.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and review their test cases and reports.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on manual testing.
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing of both web and mobile applications.
  • Proficient in cross browser testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) and cross platform testing (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
  • Experience with performance testing and stress testing to assess application stability and responsiveness under varying loads.
  • Skilled in broken link testing and general functional/UI validation.
  • Experience with multi-device and multi-screen testing to ensure consistent user experience across resolutions and form factors.
  • Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC), test case design, and defect management/tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Ability to write clear, structured test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working in sprint-based development cycles.
  • You're willing to learn new tools and testing techniques as products and technologies evolve.
  • Communication: You like discussing test plans upfront, welcome collaboration, and are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Bonus points if you...

  • Have working knowledge or exposure to automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, TestNG).
  • Have experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Have basic scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to support automation efforts.
  • Have experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Have exposure to CI/CD pipelines and understand how QA fits into continuous integration workflows.
  • Have experience testing applications in cloud-native or microservices-based environments.
